It is obvious that there is absolutely no way that the opposition party is going to spare President George W. Bush on a single word of his State of the Union Speech. As teams of researchers go thru the massive amounts of data to confirm or question the actual manuscript of the Presidents Speech, we see that partisan politics is still alive and well in Washington D.C. Even though much of the Presidents technology, energy and dependence on Foreign Oil portions of his 2006 State of the Union Speech were non-partisan and even originating on the Democratic side of the fence they are under fire. In fact some of the ideas, innovations and concepts touted by the Democrats are now being said to be pie in the sky wishful thinking? Interesting considering this is what folks like Al Gore, Howard Dean and the pink shirt and tie guy; former South Dakota Democrat, I forget his name; have been squealing for. Why are all these ideas suddenly bad now that Republican President George W. Bush says them? Now Democrats say the plan stinks, but the President did not even mention taking cow minutia and making it into fuel like the Democrats wanted to do. How can they say that longer life batteries, clean burning coal, hybrid cars and bio fuels will not help reduce our dependence on foreign oil, when the Democrats have been telling us that we need these things since before Bill Clinton even challenged the first President Bush for office? If you think you know the answer for this bizarre behavior, there are many who want answers, including me. Consider this wishy washy abyss in 2006. |
