Faux Wood Window Blinds

Author: Seth Miller

Window blinds have features that are both utilitarian as well as decorative in nature. Faux wooden blinds are opted for, as these blinds do not fade warp or crack and are ideal for areas with high humidity, extreme temperature, and direct sunlight. They are also seen to add charm, elegance, and aesthetic value to the room. They can also be used to prevent the fabric inside from getting worn out and fading.

Faux wood blinds are durable and last a long time. Faux wood blinds are a replica of real wood blinds, but at an affordable price. They are also impressive to look at as they are made with artistic considerations. They are made from high quality PVC or poly vinyl chloride. This has the advantage of giving the look of wood without its disadvantages such as fading, warping and cracking.

There are several features that are offered by various manufacturers that are very attractive to the customer such as color coordination and decorative valances. Most faux wood blinds are made from high quality and fire resistant materials. They also claim to be made from lead free additives. Hence for customers who are very concerned about health and environment, it is an obvious choice. They also come with real wood tassels at times that have instructions on installation and mounting.

Faux wood or PVC blinds are either solid or made of foam. They have special features such as durability, UV light resistant, being waterproof and also easy to clean. Their slats are quite heavy and so with large windows it can make raising them quite difficult. These faux wooden blinds are cheaper than wooden blinds, as the slats and other parts are all made of PVC. They can be fitted with motors to ease operation. They also come up with remote control, and manufacturers often offer a limited lifetime warranty.
