Natural Soaps

Author: Marcus Peterson

Soaps can have harsh ingredients. For someone with sensitive skin and allergies, or for those with special needs such as vegetarians, this can be a problem. If you make the choice to purchase natural soaps or organic soaps, you have more control over the types of ingredients that are found in the soaps.

Natural soaps are great for people who are concerned about what they put in and on their bodies. You can find natural soaps with organic ingredients, and you can find them with different essential oils to serve different purposes. There are natural soaps that use ground herbs, and still other natural soaps use special oils. Below is a basic list of ingredients that you can find in natural soaps and an overview of what they do.

Natural soaps with oatmeal or oastraw are very soothing and calming to irritated skin. So are lavender, rose, and chamomile. If you are under a lot of stress or if your skin is really sensitive, look for soaps with these ingredients.

There are certain natural soaps that are more energizing and work well on tired and sore body parts and that help increase your energy level. Look for soaps with ingredients such as rosemary, peppermint, ginger, and citrus fruits. Tea tree oil soap is also popular for people who want something energizing.

Some natural soaps have spicier scents and are great to use in conjunction with spicier perfumes. Vanilla, patchouli, clove, and cinnamon are just a few of these scents. Floral-scented natural soaps such as rose, ylang ylang, freesia, and others also blend well with floral perfumes.

You can also find natural soaps with different healing ingredients such as aloe vera, witch hazel, and special oils such as jojoba oil.

So, when searching for a natural soap, keep in mind which ingredients are right for you. If you have sensitive skin, you'd choose soap with different ingredients than if you need something energizing. There are so many different scents, you are sure to find something you like.
